HEALTH AND SAFETY RULES


EVERY MEMBER OF STAFF/VOLUNTEER MUST ACCUSTOM THEMSELVES WITH AND ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING RULES;

• Report all faulty hazardous fixtures, fittings, furniture, vehicles or equipment, taking special care on vehicle inspections.

• Report all accidents involving injury immediately to the Manager.

• Report any other incident/s to the Manager at the end of the shift, and write them in the daily log sheet.

• Convey any concern you may have about any client /s to the Manager.

• Do not leave any vehicle unattended with the keys in the ignition or the engine running, keep all emergency exits on the vehicle free from obstructions.

• Make sure any vehicle for which you have been immediately responsible is safely parked with handbrake on, all electrical switches off and vehicle is securely locked with keys deposited in the designated secure place.

• Do not smoke or allow eating / drinking on any of the vehicles.

• Any driver not confident carrying a wheel chair passenger must seek further instruction from the management.

• Office staff should ensure the office is kept tidy and free from trailing cables and accumulations of waste paper.

• Do not attempt to repair faulty electrical equipment.
