Hi Everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot recently about the fact that
DACB’s reached the golden age of 10! How amazing is that?
I’m so proud of what we have achieved over those years;
growing the wee bus service that we had into the services we
have today.
I’m proud to say that I’ve met some amazing people
on our journey together and the Board and I are very grateful
to you; our clients, for your ongoing encouragement and support
over the years.
We could not do what we do without you all backing us, using
the services and telling us what you want and need us to be
doing.. although I STILL can’t authorise a trip to Barbados;
sorry all! :)
Have
a great summer and we’ll see you at the various events.

Corporate
Event
On
Friday 18th June Dial-a-Community Bus held a corporate event
to thank our partners who have helped us so greatly over the
past 10 years.
The event was a huge success, with our guest host Eilidh
Whiteford. We presented each attendee with a shot glass
and information pack and even a slice of birthday cake for desert!
We had a great night at the Ban-Car Hotel and would like to
thank the hotel along with John Lewis, Aberdeen for supplying
materials and Kindness’ Bakers, New Deer for donating
a birthday cake to us. We would also like to thank every one
who attended the evening.
The event was organised by Alex Gaskin and Martyn Scott. They
both did an amazing job, congratulations to them both!

Staff
Changes
We would
like to welcome Martyn Scott and Alexander
Stephen to DACB.
Alexander is working as a Personal Assistant to Rachel, while
Martyn is assisting Alex Gaskin, our fundraiser, with the DACB
fundraising events of the upcoming year.
With the end of the Job Centre contract, Maureen Craggs
has decided to retire; although Maureen will continue to be
a relief driver while she remains in the area. Dave
Barber will continue to drive for DACB, and will be
driving for new projects in the near future.
Congratulations to Diane and her partner Paul on the birth of
their daughter, Leigh. All staff at DACB wish them the very
best.

The
Ythan Challenge 2010
The
Ythan Challenge takes place this year on the 27th of June. DACB
has a number of staff members taking part in the event.
Sponsor forms are on the buses, so anyone that would like to
sponsor the DACB team for taking part, or make a small donation,
should speak to the driver to get a form.
