Bus update leaflet April 2007
Hi everyone,
I’m writing the very last “editorial”
from the Maud council office…next time we’ll
be putting this all together at our new premises, which
Helen has told you all about below. We will be having an
open day/evening once we move in and of course you will
get an invite...get your glad rags ready! Take care all,
Rachel (Dial-a–
Community Bus Manager)

Fundraising
The Fundraising group have been kept busy
since the last newsletter. Since the very successful Christmas
party, the group have met to organise the events for the
year ahead. Last Friday 2nd March was the last fundraiser
for 2006/2007. This proved to a very successful evening
raising £464. Many thanks go to all who supported
us by coming along and taking part in the Bingo Evening.
A special thank you goes to Sandy and Jim and everyone else
who gave of their time at the British Legion in Strichen.
Looking forward to 2007/2008 events we have another Bingo
Evening set for Friday 20th April at New Pitsligo Hall,
and one booked to be held in the hall at New Aberdour on
Friday 4th May. Again there is a full year of events being
held with some new ones as well. We look forward to your
continued support, without you and others like you our total
of £5,000 per year would be impossible to reach. If
you know of anyone who would like to become involved in
fundraising for DAB please ask them to contact the office
on Tel: 01771 613287

Do you know anyone
who would benefit from our services? Bill would really like
to hear from them. Have a think, tell them about us and
get them to give him a call! |
Everyone
is welcome, come and see us, kettle always warm! We have
a super new training room there too for all our training
courses. The picture shows our first visit and we are assured
that Rachel’s office (behind her) will have a door
soon. These are very exciting times for Dial-a-Community
Bus but as always we will continue to do our best to meet
the needs of our customers and continue to improve the service
we can offer, within our limitations. Thank you for your
support. |
