HEALTH AND SAFETY at WORK GENERAL POLICY
Buchan Dial-a-Community Bus (DACB) and subsidiary companies
consider that a high standard of health and safety and the welfare
of their employees and passengers are of paramount importance
in enabling it to achieve its objectives
DACB
views compliance with legal requirements as the minimum acceptable
health and safety standard, and the company will make suitable
arrangements for health and safety, within the limits of available
financial and physical resources.
DACB
is committed to the planning, reviewing and development of health
and safety activities in order to achieve constant improvement
in performance. Information on health and safety will be communicated
to those people working for DACB on a regular basis.
All
employees (including volunteers) working with DACB are expected
to adopt a positive attitude to health and safety issues and
must;
• Comply with appropriate legal requirements as well as
DACB’s requirements
• Take reasonable care of their own health and safety
and that of others exposed to their activities
• Inform the Manager of any situations that, within the
limits of their competence, they consider could give rise to
serious or existing danger or shortcomings in safety arrangement
