Introduction
DAB
Plus c.i.c. is a community interest company which was created
in December 2006 as an independent subsidiary company to Buchan
Dial-a-Community Bus (DACB).
DAB
Plus operates as a social enterprise to provide a range of services
to the local community which will enhance the rural and economic
sustainability of the Buchan area and will also make a surplus;
this will feed directly into DACB and therefore reduce the charity’s
reliance on grant funding.
No
Directors are paid and there will be no “profit”
as such since any extra surplus created by DAB Plus will be
gift aided directly to DACB in order to sustain and build their
community transport projects.

DAB
Plus exists to sustain and support Dial-a-Community Bus, and
by doing so, to support the Community.
Current
work
DAB
Plus is currently working in partnership with Job Centre Plus
to provide a service in Peterhead and surrounds for those people
who find transport a barrier to returning to the workplace.
DAB
Plus has an O licence which allows us to operate bus services
including Private hire.
